General Company Benefit Guidelines - All Employees
- A maximum of 40 unused accrued sick and paid time off hours will carry over for use in the next benefit year. Excess hours will be forfeited.
- Two health plans currently in force. PPO and HMO. Company will pay 50% of the cost of health insurance after 3 months of service. (single or family)
- Simple IRA – retirement plan – after 3 months of service employees may sign up in Jan or July of each year. Currently the company is matching employees contributions 100% up to 3% of their salary.
- Uniforms are supplied free of charge to front line personnel – enough for one week of work – laundry is the responsibility of each employee.
- Starting salary & hourly rates to be near or above industry averages.
- Payroll is done every other week. Paychecks are available to be picked up after 5:00pm every other Wednesday. Mail and direct deposit are also options.
- New Years Eve (after 6:00pm) – New Years Day – Easter – Memorial Day – 4th of July – Labor Day – Thanksgiving – Christmas Eve( after 6:00pm ) – Christmas Day. Currently, sweeper drivers and mechanics are the only employees required to work holidays.
- The company will reimburse 80% up to $200.00 per year for job related tuition on any hourly or salary managerial employee. Proof of payment and a “C” or better is needed for credit.
- Yearly increases will be between 0-5% depending on employee’s evaluations and the growth of the company.
- Special events * Birth of your child – 3 days paid * Your wedding – 3 days paid * Funeral – Parents, siblings, child – 3 days paid.
- Overtime (1.5 x hourly base rate ) is paid for all hours worked over 40 in a calendar week. If any employee is required to work on a holiday listed below, overtime will be paid even if they are below 40 hours in that week.
- Some seminars and short courses may be offered to employees at no cost. Hourly employees are not paid for these days.
Company Benefits - Special Guidelines
Sick time leave / Paid time off:
Years 1-5
- A new or existing employee will accrue 1 hour of paid sick leave / paid time off for every 30 hours worked up to 40 accrued sick / paid time off hours per benefit year. A benefit year is the employee anniversary date to anniversary date.
- With 12 hours’ notice, an employee can call out for illness for themselves or to aid in urgent medical care for a family member. With at least 3 day’s notice, sick leave can be used for doctor’s visits for themselves or family members, school meetings or events, funerals, birth of a child or weddings. Three days or more absence require a doctor’s note.
- With 4 weeks notice, these accrued hours can be used for paid time off for no reason. Employees can carry over up to 40 hours of accrued time into the next year.
Year 6 Onward
- Same conditions apply as quoted above (Hourly Employees years 1-5)
- After 5 years of service, employees will accrue an additional 1 hour for every 30 hours worked up to 80 total hours per year.
- After 9 years of service, employees will accrue an additional 1 hour for every 30 hrs worked up to 120 total hours per year.
Sick time leave / Paid time off
YEARS 1-3

- After 7 years of service, employees will accrue an additional 1 hour for every 30 hours worked up to 120 total hours per year.

- After 1st year - year 2 -5 of service, employees will accrue an additional 1 hour for every 30 hours worked up to 80 total hours a year. Same conditions apply as quoted above.
- After 5th year - year 6-10 of service, employees will accrue an additional 1 hour for every 30 hours worked up to 120 total hours a year. Same conditions apply as quoted above.
- After 10th year of service, employees will accrue an additional 1 hour for every 30 hours worked up to 160 total hours a year. Same conditions apply as quoted above.
