General Company Benefit Guidelines - All Employees

Company Benefits - Special Guidelines

Sick time leave / Paid time off:

Years 1-5

  • A new or existing employee will accrue 1 hour of paid sick leave / paid time off for every 30 hours worked up to 40 accrued sick / paid time off hours per benefit year. A benefit year is the employee anniversary date to anniversary date.
  • With 12 hours’ notice, an employee can call out for illness for themselves or to aid in urgent medical care for a family member. With at least 3 day’s notice, sick leave can be used for doctor’s visits for themselves or family members, school meetings or events, funerals, birth of a child or weddings. Three days or more absence require a doctor’s note.
  • With 4 weeks notice, these accrued hours can be used for paid time off for no reason. Employees can carry over up to 40 hours of accrued time into the next year.

Year 6 Onward

  • Same conditions apply as quoted above (Hourly Employees years 1-5)
  • After 5 years of service, employees will accrue an additional 1 hour for every 30 hours worked up to 80 total hours per year.
  • After 9 years of service, employees will accrue an additional 1 hour for every 30 hrs worked up to 120 total hours per year.

  • After 7 years of service, employees will accrue an additional 1 hour for every 30 hours worked up to 120 total hours per year.

  • After 1st year - year 2 -5 of service, employees will accrue an additional 1 hour for every 30 hours worked up to 80 total hours a year. Same conditions apply as quoted above.
  • After 5th year - year 6-10 of service, employees will accrue an additional 1 hour for every 30 hours worked up to 120 total hours a year. Same conditions apply as quoted above.
  • After 10th year of service, employees will accrue an additional 1 hour for every 30 hours worked up to 160 total hours a year. Same conditions apply as quoted above.
